Didn’t work for me. Probably because I had started signing up once before and never completed by not entering my credit card number.

P1 accidentally registered with a closed Citi AA card – didn’t get the miles. Deleted the closed card and added the open Citi AA card. Still no miles :-(. Sent a ticket to support.

P2 registered with open Citi AA card and immediately got the 400 miles.

This didn’t work for me with Barclaycard AA. P2 with Citi AA card worked fine.

When do the miles post to the AA account?

I deleted P1 and P2’s cards from their respective simply miles accounts , and registered with the cards again on the above link, and the miles were awarded.

Did you re-register with a brand new account or just delete the old card and insert the new one?

You can use a closed biz card to get the 400 bonus miles. I assume a closed personal card would work as well.

An expired AA personal card did not work for it FYI

Guys, don’t do that. We know how much AA likes shenanigans.
