[Expired] Marriott: Earn 2,500 Bonus Points Per Stay & 5,000 Bonus Points On Third Stay

Deal has ended, view more Marriott deals by clicking here.

Update 10/16/20: Extended until November 10, 2020.

The Offer

Direct link to offer (some people are having issues, try the app if desktop doesn’t work. Or just wait a few days and Marriott usually sorts it out)

  • Marriott has a new global promotion where you can earn 2,500 bonus points per stay. On your third stay you receive an additional 5,000 bonus points (7,500 points for that stay). Valid for stays until November 10, 2020

The Fine Print

  • Only stays made after registration will count toward promotion credit. Associates are eligible to earn points with global promotions. No additional action is required in order to participate in the promotion. The Q3 global promotion is funded by the loyalty program.

Our Verdict

There is also an AmEx offer for $50 back when spending $200+ or a Chase offer for 10-15% back up to $53. This is better than the standard 2,000 bonus points Marriott has been offering per stay (starting second stay) but not by much.

Do they have the Brilliant version of this card with the same perks?

Is it working for award stays? Marriott IT used to mess up all the time & it used to work.

Is this for award stays or only paid stays?

6-9 years ago the promos were regularly a free night after one or two paid nights. Came in real handy when I was long distance(5 hr drive) dating my fiance at the time that we could meet up nearly every weekend halfway or so. We’d stay in the Fairfields and Courtyards for $80 something and then use the free nights on nicer Marriotts that were still cat 4 but much higher rates. Between that and then work travel I was able to earn lifetime gold status. Current Gold < pre SPG Gold, but at least it's a baseline I'll never fall below with limited/no travel years.

I can’t even sign up. Nothing appears under my profile. i have a paid stay this weekend which I can cancel and rebook for free to become eligible. I was going to stay regardless, so getting the extra points is always nice.

If you aren’t seeing it, check on both the website and the app.

Check your Promotions page on the app. Usually I get such promotions when I don’t stay with Marriott for a while. I was been targeted for 3 promotions this year, including this one.

When I checked a few hours ago, my app’s promotion page was empty. I just checked the app and I see the promotion on the main page, but when I click “Register Now” it takes me to an empty promo page. So strange… I will check again later today, maybe it takes a while to roll out.. idk why that would be the case though.

Stays must be paid. I have an upcoming stay that I booked with points so it looks like I’m SOL.

Under the circumstances, better to use those points than cash, regardless of this promo.

Many times, I’ve gotten promotion points for points-based stays due to IT errors. The Double credit promotion this year was fixed quite late. You might get lucky. Please give us an update.
