Our Verdict
It seems like the direct deposit is optional, but it’s possible I am misreading that requirement. Really more of a $200 checking bonus and savings bonus up to $500. Not sure what the interest rate on this account is, but i’m guessing it’s close to zero. Bonuses themselves work out to be 1% over the three month period of 4% annualized, definitely a good rate given the current conditions (compare to other high yield savings accounts here). I’ll be adding this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

The link seems to be dead. Is this bonus still active? If not, should it be removed from the best checking bonus list? William Charles
This bank is sensitive to cash deposit. One time or one day of $7000 cash deposit through ATM triggers bankers call and online security messaging asking for source of cash. Be careful when structuring.
Has anyone out of state OOS successfully gotten this bonus?
1. Chex – Yes, not sensitive online. 100+/24.
2. No hard pull. You can decline overdraft
3. No CC funding. Up to $250 with debit card. I tried PPK linked to CIU with a $100 cash advance limit but it didn’t go through
4. Checks are free
5. I’m using a real DD so can’t help there
6. ETF – $20 90 days. But of course for the bonus, you need to keep it open for 6 months.
7. Second time churning this bonus
Might be Chex sensitive. Denied 10/5/21 after opening 3 other accounts in Sep.
Thanks added
They lowered this again!!!
what’s best current deal?
annualized interest is 300/25000 = 1.2%. I don’t think I can find a reason for the balance bonus.
Keep in mind two bonus improvements in addition to posted info:
1. that same tiers pay HIGHER BONUSES, if account is Business.
2. Also, there is stackable referral.
Overall, Flushing is not a strong bonus
Could you tell me where the referral link is? I couldn’t find that.
Flushing has a new checking promo. Bonuses are lower than they were for the same deposit levels in 2020, but accounts can again be opened online.
T&C says after 24 months of closing previous one.
