I always tip with cash when I use Doordash. The “Dasher”… I feel stupid saying that and ordering everything “Biggie” at Wendy’s… is always so happy when I hand him/her the $$. Only continuous pressure on a crooked company will force policy change. John 3:16
Doordash: I always, always change the tip amount to $0. Tip the driver in cash when they deliver your food!
Sorry for the harsh criticism, but boy, you’d think someone who writes about travel for a living would have done a better job of researching how to travel with a baby ahead of time. New parents, traveling with kids is not the time to fly by the seat of your pants.
His writing makes him sound like many younger parents I know. Do what you want, without little thought or planning, and make others suffer for it if need be. There’s no way I would subject others who paid to be in first-class to the whims of a 9-week old (I wouldn’t have flown with him to begin with.) Also…..nine-week olds don’t have “anxiety issues.” It’s called being a baby, and yours is nothing special.
Frankly, he’s just a bad dad. What do you want to do with the rest of your paternity leave? Oh, I know, torture my 9 week old son by making him fly in a tube with pressurized air because I think it’s cool. Babies should only fly as a last resort and new parents should plan vacations accordingly until they are older.
Southwest will sell you a stroller bag at check-in counter. ~$17 bucks. Mine seemed to last about 6-12 flights. Counts for PenFed Pathfinder airline incidental rebate.
Flew with that after gate checking the stroller resulted in the addition of copious amounts grease from the belly of the plane.
Traveler or not being comfortable installing and removing various car seats on short notice is a huge Dad badge – like fixing a flat or tying a tie. It comes up infrequently enough, but often saves the day. The local police department should have an instructor.
Great movie: Blinded By The Light, musical, featuring Bruce Springsteen. Very inspiring! [I do not have moviepass]
Anyone still tipping on DD (and not cash) is an idiot. The company clearly doesn’t believe in sound labor practices, shut them down by not subsidizing their workforce. These companies naturally lose money, it doesn’t take much to push them under
Personally I’m too cheap to pay for delivery. I love some DD pick up while abusing, I mean taking advantage of, their promos as much as possible. I think that still fits your request.
they have it in VA?
Aren’t they nationwide? I’m in FL.
The have DD in SE VA – I can’t speak for the entire state. My city doesn’t have Uber Eats, but the next one over does.
