For these kinds of airfar offer, do we receive the additional MR immediately after booking the fare or way later? Did the KLM offer earlier but still haven’t received the MR….
Hope I had it
This could be a useful offer to folks looking for cheap coach flights to Asia or Europe. In the past year, I’ve bought tickets from the East Coast of the USA to Asia on AC for under $400, and for about $225 to Europe. I’m not sure if all these fares would actually ticket on AC’s own website, but it would be worth trying when they pop up if you’re travelling with others and can meet the spending requirements. Sites like secretflying and theflightdeal have these cheap AC fares regularly. AC acts a bit like a discount player from the USA to overseas. And, if you have UA elite status, you can earn real mileage on these AC fares — much more than you’d earn flying UA.
If i book award travel with AMEX points transferred to Aircanada/aeroplan and pay taxes (for 3 tickets it comes to nearly $800) will that be reimbursed by this promotion??
The tax has to be settled in USD, then you should be fine.
note Aeroplan phone booking fee doesn’t count
FYI charges from Aeroplan definitely will not count. Aeroplan is a separate business, disconnected from Air Canada – at least for a few more months (they are being acquired).
My offer was spend $1,000, get 20,000 Membership Rewards 🙂
My account shows 20K MR after $1000 spend.
