[Expired] [Targeted] AmEx Offer: HBO Max, Spend $14.99+ & Receive $7 Statement Credit

Deal has ended, view more HBO max deals by clicking here.

With the announcement that HBO Max will have a slate of Warner Brothers releases for 2021, it’s probably worth saving this offer ASAP before it hits the maximum number of redemptions (only need to save the offer, don’t need to use it yet).

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a $7 statement credit when you spend $14.99+ on HBO Max valid until 2/26/2021. Can be done three times for a total of $21

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for subscriptions to HBO Max via www.hbomax.com only.
  • If your subscription is bundled with another product or service or billed by a third party (such as a digital platform, a cable, telecommunications or internet provider), your purchase may not be eligible.
  • Offer is non-transferable.
  • Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $21 back) per Card Member.
  • The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credits.
  • Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied.
  • Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 2/26/2021

Our Verdict

Unfortunately the previous HBO Max promo codes doesn’t work anymore. Still a nice discount for those paying for HBO Max.

There’s a new offer I noticed on my card for HBO Max:

Spend $99.99 or more, get $25 back.

Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled card to make a single purchase of $99.99 or more online at hbomax.com by 12/14/2021. Valid for annual subscription purchases. See terms for exclusions.

Could probably now stack with Swagbucks. I’m seeing 700 SB for HBO Max. Must stay subscribed for 14 days.

If you have an AT&T plan (and I think Cricket) have a free 30 day trial, plus a $25 Mastercard if you keep for two months following the trial. Stack that with this Amex offer and get 3 months of HBO Max and a $25 MC for $15.98. https://help.hbomax.com/Answer/Detail/2942#Card

Which plans qualify for this offer?
AT&T Wireless: AT&T Mobile Share Plus 3GB, AT&T Mobile Share Plus 9GB, AT&T Unlimited Starter, AT&T Unlimited Extra
AT&T Fiber: Copper, Internet 100, Internet 300

HBO Max has a 20% of 6 months deal. Stacks with the amex offer so you end up with 6 months for $62.99 ($10.50 a month). Good as it gets right now.

Is there any way to pay for 6 month 20% off deal with 3 payments to get the full AMEX discount as well?

Extra good deal given Warner is releasing all of their 2021 movies in theaters and on HBO Max at the same time in the United States. https://apnews.com/article/warner-bros-stream-all-2021-films-92b80a6304dda71db50a84aa064a4378
