Finally got a notification today for offer used on the 20th.
This seems to have worked for me on Postmates too (they’re owned by Uber, and the transaction appears as UBER EATS, and I got 500 MR). Sometimes Postmates gives me a promo code when Uber Eats doesn’t.
Recently? I saw postmates posted as UBER POSTMATES vs uber eats posted as UBER EATS. And seems postmates doesn’t trigger

I got the offer on BCP. No luck with reloading Uber cash.
a reminder you can retroactively change the payment method charged for uber + ubereats purchases up to 30 days after by going into the app > account > orders (or trips) > select order (or trip) > view receipt > change payment method.
Interesting tip, thanks. Does the payment date also change to reflect the new payment method? In other words, if a past order is dated December 1 and paid with a Visa, if you change the payment method to an Amex, will the payment date say December 20?
If the Amex offer is saved on December 20, the offer may only count purchases made on or after this date.
Thanks for the tip, BlakeD. I went back and changed the payment to Amex on 2 Uber Eats orders. Got the Amex “Great News….” confirmation email within a couple of hours.

The switch payment worked for me on 3 recent orders, I tried to do it again on number 4 today and only the tip was switched to the Amex, the rest was charged to Uber Cash…. not sure what to make of that.
The credits came through OK, tip was adjusted first, then the meal payment followed soon after.

It does not appear to work on balance reloads — or at least, I’ve yet to get any notification on my Plat that I’ve used the offer.
Got it on BCE, will use it on Uber Eats pickups with local restaurants. Expires in Jan 2023.
Check your Uber offers, they just got extended from 12/31/22 to 1/31/23 for me. YMMV

Got the points offer on my platinum – “Spend $15 or more, get 500 Membership Rewards® points, up to 5 times”.
It would have been good if the end date is next year. Already have Dec credits $125+ to use.
Does anyone know if tips and the trip fare are 2 separate charges or grouped together?
It’s very inconsistent. I had one today that bundled the tip and trip fare into one charge, and I got the email from AmEx saying I had used an offer, but I had another a few days ago that was charged separately so I got no email and evidently won’t get the credit even though the combined parts would have been more than $15. (I didn’t do anything different between the two, and the amounts were nearly identical.) More often than not, my charges end up being split, but somtimes they don’t.
I feel like I’ve tried reloads in the past and it didn’t work cause someone else is selling you the uber credit on the app
