The Offer
- Receive a one time $10 statement credit when you use an American Express credit card enrolled in this offer to spend $25 or more in restaurant in a single purchase at any Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Click here to find your closest restaurant.
The Fine Print
- Valid until September 5th, 2016
- In restaurant only, purchases online do not qualify
- Excludes airport locations, locations located at 3115 Kirby Lane, Houston TX and 1399 South Voss, Houston TX
Other Discounts
- AARP Members get 15% off (doesn’t stack with any other offers, cannot be applied towards gift card purchases but you get the discount when using gift card purchases for payment)
- Carrabba’s often offers a $10 bonus gift card when you purchase $50 in gift cards, there is no current offer but I suspect we’ll see one before this offer expires. Update: apparently offer is still live until this weekend.
Our Verdict
According to Gift Card Wiki, the best rate you can get when selling Carrabba’s gift cards is 75%, if you bought a $25 gift card you’d pay $15 and could resell it for $18.75 for a profit of $3.75 per card, you’ll also any net credit card rewards points. Carrabba’s does usually let you buy multiples at once (you can split tender between at least two cards to get the $10 bonus gift card).
Carrabba’s gift cards can also be used at the following brands: Outback, Fleming’s or Bonefish Grill. Personally I’d load this offer onto all of my American Express cards and then hope for the $10 bonus gift card offer. I’ll post again if the bonus gift card offer comes about.

Ok. Maybe this is better phrased…
Is there something special about this Amex offer or is just like all the other Amex restaurant offers? Is it the possible extra $10 bonus that makes it special?
It’s profitable to resell without the special gift card, with the special gift card you’re making a profit and getting some free $10 gift cards for a free meal – making it a good deal.
I really don’t want to come off as an a-hole because I truly always end up scratching my head when I see this post…But why is this carrabba’s amex credit special enough to get it’s own post? Is it the extra $10 bonus you can get? Is the food incredible? There are lots of restaurants that give you credit for Amex spend and you don’t do write-ups for them…
Profitable to resell the gift cards.
$10 promotion the chain itself runs is over since 19th.
Somebody said they went in store and it was extended?
the $10 promo card is still on sale on Sunday at least. I happened to go to one of the restaurants and saw that. I think it extends to some time in July
July 15 is the deadline for using the bonus card. All in all an awesome deal.
None of the bloggers uses the word “targeted” with respect to this offer. We don’t have it on any of our 3 AMEX issued cards. However, I was able to successfully add the offer once via Twitter to my linked CITI AMEX card.
Offers available on Twitter wouldn’t be called ‘Targeted’.
The availability of an offer on Twitter is irrelevant to my post. My husband and I both logged in to our various AMEX accounts and did not see the Carrabba’s offer on any of them. The first reports of this offer on other blogs stated that the offer was seen after logging in to AMEX accounts. Therefore, those cardmembers were targeted.
It doesn’t matter if it’s targeted specific amex accounts when ANYBODY can get the offer through Twitter. Yours is a distinction with no real point.
You can sign up via Twitter, so it’s not targeted at all…
I have purchased $100 GCs with 4 cards in one transaction. More might be possible but 8 of my cards are clear AMEX BlueCash and I don’t want to get them mixed up, by me or the cashier.
I usually go at a slow time and the bartender processes them at once. Last time it was busy so I gave him a $5 cash tip. He was thrilled.
You can, at least, split a single gift card ($50) across 2 Amex’s. This is/was necessary when the $10 bonus promo card is given on a $50 GC purchase.
Thanks, Ben.
Is the $10 bonus gift card typically a true gift card, or a promo card with an expiration date?
Receive a one time $10 statement credit
Kevin I wasn’t asking about the Amex offer. I know that’s a statement credit.
I was asking about
“Carrabba’s often offers a $10 bonus gift card when you purchase $50 in gift cards, there is no current offer but I suspect we’ll see one before this offer expires”
Mastervk understood what I was talking about.
Promo card with short expiration date . I gave 10 amex cards and asked for 10 $25 gift card .
