So. On my offer it says valid at Dell.com/Amex. The laptop i what is NOT available there. The laptops on the Dell Amex site are $50 – $100 more than on the regular Dell site (but they had windows pro so there is value there)

Got unlucky this round. Nothing on Blue, Platinum, Business Platinum, Business Gold, or Business SPG/Marriott.

Me and my fried have two Blue Cash Everyday cards with $120 offer. Can I get $240 off if I buy $2000 laptop using three cards? 2 Blue cash everyday with $600 and $800 on chase card with 5% offer?

Yes. Use split payment.

Got $120 of $599 by splitting payment between P2’s Gold and Biz Plat which had a 10% off Amex offer as well as the $200 credit. Also got $83.79 through Rakuten with 10x.

$880.53 for a gaming laptop ended up costing $456.74.

Did the same for a laptop at $847, with $126 back from 15x at TopCashback this past weekend. About $375 ai. Makes for a decent inflation-fighter.

Now looking for something for around $400 just after July 1, since the $40 off on $200 now shows for me, to tag along with the 10% and the $200 credit.

Dell lets you easily split payment on their website? I’d be excited to catch a similar deal, but have not had luck with splitting payment on most websites. Is there a strategy (or trick)?

Super easy for Dell at checkout, just make sure you zero out the “pay with MR points” default. You might be able to split among 3 cards, maybe 4.

where is the $200 credit?

It’s a benefit of the Amex Business Platinum card. You get up to $200 back on Dell purchases in both the first and second half of the calendar year. This means even with a one-year tether on the card, you can get back $600 on appropriately timed Dell purchases. The credit shows up automatically, usually within a couple of days of when the transaction posts.

The credit stacks with any and all other Amex Offers. So I am also getting 10% off my purchases with this card — including the $200 credit — from this card. According to FM, some lucky ducks actually have the $40 off on $200 on this card, which would make the first $200 of spend that much more of a money-maker.

Within each half year, there is only one $200 Dell credit across all cards attached to the account. So if P1 is the primary cardholder but P2 is an AU (i.e., has a so-called employee card) and has a better Amex Offer on that card, then one would want to use P2’s card for the purchase. But that would be that for the credit, for that six month period.

Does this stack with the +1MR per $1 Amex offer? I have both in my account. The worry is the +1MR triggering instead of the $120 off $599. I wouldn’t care if I knew it was the other way around.

yes it does. i have 3 offers in my account. +1MR, $120 off and $40 off wondering if all 3 will stack.

In the first part of your comment, you say “yes it does”, and in the last part you say that you are “wondering if all 3 will stack”. Which one is it? Do you know or not?

Extra pts and $ off always stacked. Now two $ off amex offers at the same store on the same card, is the first time for me.

Thank you for clarifying.

How long does it take for the offer to trigger? It’s been 3 days since my charge posted and it hasn’t credited me the $120

same thing for me, it ended up posting at about day 4.

Took exactly 4 days for me too. Not too bad a wait.

What does multiple purchase mean? Does it mean that I can buy multiple items separately, and they will add up? I want to buy some monitors, that cost 380 with 100 dell promo credit, so if I were to buy 380(initial monitor) + 280(second monitor with promo credit) + 60(UPS with credit from 2nd one) it will add up to 620, will I get credit for that?

Tommy
Tommy

yes, that has worked in the past for me

Your Dell Order Has Been Cancelled……

Ya they’re really aggressive with that. I had to create a whole ‘nother account.
