- Get a $15 statement credit by using your registered card to spend a minimum of $50 or more at Etsy.com by 9/30/2017
The Fine Print
- Offer ends 9/30/17
- $50 can be met in a single transaction or combined across multiple transactions
- Valid online only
- Excludes e-gift card purchases, wholesale purchases, seller fees/settling accounts, Open Your Etsy, Etsy Labs/Etsy events, purchases made on 3rd party links on Etsy Local page, Shipsurance, Etsystudio.com
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars
Our Verdict
Etsy sells a wide variety of interesting items, and now would be a good time to try them out. I’d been hoping it would be possible to lock in the discount on larger purchases by buying Etsy e-gift cards in $50 increments, but the fine print indicates it won’t work on gift cards. (It worked last time they offered an amex offer. Doesn’t look like they sell physical gift cards at all.) If anyone tries it out anyway, let us know.
Don’t forget to use a portal when shopping on Etsy for additional rewards.

Post today said that for _saving_ it makes no difference, just for viewing after one card has been used.
I am an Etsy seller and this offer has worked when i paid my Etsy seller bill the last time the offer came around. Just FYI

unfortunately you cant pay more than your current balance. I extended the life of my listings and listed some more just to get to that threshold

this worked on giftcards last time they ran an offer, though I can’t yet confirm on this go-round
It worked last time on gift card purchases, but they kept cancelling orders when I tried to place a second gift card order. It was a hassle getting more than 1 gift card order through and they seemed aware of the offer and that was the reason they were cancelling.
“We noticed you have used your account to purchase more than one gift card under our recent promotion with American Express. Please note that we only allow a member to use this promotion for a one-time statement credit of $8.00.”
Interesting…I bought 3 gcs last time. Only have 3 Amex cards so maybe it was low enough not to arouse suspicion.
