The Fine Print
- Offer limited to U.S. American Express branded Cards issued by a third-party financial institution. Cards issued by American Express are not eligible for this Offer.
- A “qualifying purchase” means a purchase made at a merchant location featured under the “Dining” Category on the Shop Small Map in the US and US territories available at go.amex/shopsmalldiningmap, or the “Dining” Category on the Online Directory available at go.amex/shopsmalldiningdirectory on or before 12/31/2024. Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Offers may be discontinued or modified by Amex at our discretion.
- Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.
- Please allow 90-days after 12/31/2024 for the statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

I got the “Spend $50, get back $5 (up to 3 times)” on my Amex gold, and spent more than $200 in various restaurants listed as small business but never get my credits

Mine is $5 off $50+ on dining. Can be used 3x before 12/31/2024.
Does anyone know if 3rd party Amex offers take longer to give the statement credit than Amex-issued cards? I added the offer to my Bread Cashback Amex and used it on 11/1 and the transaction posted on 11/4 but no confirmation email that an offer was used or statement credit. The restaurant is on Amex’s Shop Small map. Amex Offers on my BCE are applied the same day the transaction posts and I usually (not always) get a confirmation e-mail that I successfully used the offer.
Did Bluebird stop working for all Amex offers?
I miss the old days when we could get $20 (or was it $40?) of free money on each of our Amex cards at any Shop Small merchant. ☹
I think it was $30 (3x$10). I used to make the rounds to different restaurants, buying gift cards. Those were the days!
