Our Verdict

Previous best offer on this card was 60,000 miles after one purchase. Previously Barclays requested business documents, but that no longer seems to be the case. Worth remembering that Barclays business cards do not report to your personal report, so won’t count towards your 5/24 status. Barclays has other increased bonuses on business cards as well:

Hawaiian recently made a no notice devaluation, so that’s something to keep in mind. There was also recently a 75,000 point offer on the personal version of this card. All that being said this offer can still be useful for some readers that value Hawaii miles so we will be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses. As always if you have questions regarding Barclays credit cards, read this post first.

Any recent data points available on if Barclays reports this card to personal credit bureaus?

No it doesnt.

Hawaiian points were just massively devalued so not worth bothering with this card for most people. Even the extra 15k points doesn’t really make up for it

Agreed. Some routes were inflated so high this bonus wont even cover a one way in econ anymore.

if interest in Hilton points, its a 105,000 Hilton points offer.

Would you still value these miles if going to be used purely for intra island flights? 8 to 15k miles is still at least 5 one ways

I just booked tickets for my wife, my 2 kids, and myself interisland from HNL to LIH r/t on HA. Would’ve cost us $900, instead i paid with 60k Hawaiian pesos. That route is still expensive unlike interisland to Maui or Big Island. Long story short: Agreed w Gmoney, some interisland routes are still a good use of Hawaiian pesos. Off the top of my head, other decent redemptions are their HNL to South Pacific routes.

Think I’d get denied with an AA Barclay Biz card that I spent maybe $100 on a year ago and am about to cancel?

Same boat, but lower, maybe 50$ 🙂

I don’t know if it’s a hard rule or not, but it seems that Barclays only lets you hold one biz card at a time.

Signed up for this card 10 months ago. How long do you have to wait inbetween signups? Or is their lifetime language?

there’s language on the aviator cards that are in the fine print about a bonus every 24 months. you may have to check in regards to this one…

Seems to be a pretty hard and fast rule now, but some are able to get around it. Unknown as to why.
