Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Classic checking account has a $2.95 monthly fee, this is waived if you meet any of the following requirements:
- Monthly Direct Deposit or Mobile Deposit• 10 debit card transactions per month• Deposit relationship of $5,000 or more
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find the fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
A lot of requirements (especially with the $750 in debit card spend required) for a relatively small bonus, probably not worth doing for most people. We also don’t know if it’s a hard or soft pull. Because of those reasons we won’t be adding this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

They do pull Experian, or at least did when I opened an account earlier this year (March). But for me it was worth it as they are not sensitive to very large MO deposits.
