Not particularly impressed with this bank. Credit card funding did not work. I was also not sent a debit card. When I called to ask about it, they told me that the reason was because I signed up online (?) and that I needed to come in to a branch to get a card. I didn’t feel like going to a branch, so I just skipped that part of the bonus. They didn’t want to mail me a debit card, but they sent me mail about 6 times asking me to download their app (which I already had). The account number is also really hard to find online. When I was talking to the customer service rep, she told me that if I changed to online statements, the account number should appear not he screen but it did not. I also find the interface for their online banking to be clunky.

Anyway, I opened the account on 6/3, completed the requirements 7/13 and the bonus posted on 8/12. The DD was an ACH push from my Discover checking.

FYI, they will apparently auto-close this account if it sits empty for a few months. (Sorry, but I don’t have an exact time-frame, as I can’t access my statements to see how long it’s been.) I was set to close the account today, as it’s now been exactly 180 days after I opened it, but I got a final statement in the mail indicating that it had been closed three days ago.

Overall easy. Branch was not busy – took about 20 minutes. The debit card was provided in branch. Does pull Chex, but not sensitive. Listed as “PREMIER BANK” on Chex and the address of the specific branch I used. I average about 2-3 inquires per month but varies. The branch did have fliers printed, but dates were expired on the printout. I had the current info on my phone, but really, I was not questioned.

For people who fail the identity questions, in-branch might be your only way in. Those verification-type questions are only used over the phone and online. On to the next!

Denied but I think I got my soft pull questions wrong. Weird questions and tough, when I just moved lmao. It asked me about streets near me, no idea.

Also no-go in PA, not happy that they make you give up your SSN, driver’s license, employer info and blood type before ultimately asking for your address and deciding that the offer isn’t available to you. I looked up their branches and the nearest one is 201 miles from me.
