Our Verdict

Purchases can be cumulative (e.g you just need to spend a total of $500 during the offer period) gift card purchases probably won’t work. Offer is also highly targeted, great offer if you have it and have plans to fly Delta.

I bought 1000 e gift card online by mistake. I got the trigger email for this $100 offer. But I want to ask is it possible to cancel it? I just want to buy $50 to reimburse from platinum…………..

If you check old discussions, gift cards worked the last time they offered this.

Why you can’t book a refundable fare and use the credit for another trip when you’re ready?

0/5. Amex sucks sometimes. Will make it easier to cancel two cards with high AF’s coming up.

0 for 3 in my shrinking stable of Amex cards.

Ironically, not even my holdover Amex Delta card has the offer for the Delta promotion.

Amex apparently doesn’t much like me; the feeling is mutual
