[Expired] [Targeted] Select Banks: $100/$75/$50 Back for Spending $30 at AT&T – Moneymaker [BofA, Regions, Suntrust & More]

This bonus has expired, make sure you don’t miss any deals by signing up for notifications.

The Offer

Check your bank login to see if you were targeted:

  • Get $100 or $75 or $50 back when making two separate transactions with AT&T on wireless products or services of at least $15 each by 11/14/2017

This offer comes around frequently. A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 9/30/17
  • Offer must be used by 11/14/17  (Tthis means you have to save the offer on your account by 9/30/17 and use it by 11/14/17)
  • Offer valid one time only (you can use it on any credit or debit card in your online account, but once you use it on one card it can’t be used on another card in the login)
  • Valid in-store or online at at&t.com or over the phone
  • Cash back is earned within 30 days after making the second transaction

Our Verdict

This deal is amazing and profitable even if you have no interest in anything at an AT&T store. Buy an accessory for $15, repeat and get the bonus. Net profit will be $70/$45/$20, plus some free accessories.

Tips:

  • If you’re doing this in-store, make sure to make the purchases at a corporate store, not an Authorized Retailer.
  • If you’re doing this online, try buying a single item that costs $15 or more since AT&T sometimes splits up smaller items into separate charges.
  • It might be worth spacing out the two transactions on different days.
  • Someone mentions the idea of buying a $25 refill card from an AT&T store which would work for prepaid plans.
  • Or buy an iTunes gift card.
  • A reader confirms that making $15 payments to your AT&T cellular bill or Uverse internet bill counts to trigger the credit.
  • Don’t forget to go through a portal if ordering online. Topcashback is currently the best at 10%.

If you have any questions it’s probably wise to read through our previous post on this as they are probably answered there & here.

DP: I have regions checking and bought at&t accessories. Finished all purchases on 9/11 and that accessory came in mail a couple of days ago. $75 showed under earned rewards. Will that money get deposited into my account later?

I ordered two $10 items, and it posted as a single transaction (bank was BofA). I don’t doubt that AT&T sometimes splits up transactions, but it doesn’t seem to be a sure thing.

If you don’t want their crummy overpriced accessories, this page is probably your best bet. I’m considering getting a Tile tracker. Getting paid to get an Amazon Fire Stick or Amazon Echo Dot is a pretty good deal too. Thanks for the heads up DoC!

I have several BofA cards. Can I use any one of those cards to make a purchase in order to be eligible for $75 back?

As long as they all show up under the same log in it should work. Once you use one card though, it won’t be available on any of the others.

Click on the AT&T offer and there will be a link to the AT&T website. After you make your first purchase, go back to the BOA website and look at the offers page again. Instead of having the green check mark in the upper right corner there will be a grey circle-ish symbol (kind of like the recycle symbol). That will show you that the offer is “in play.”

Once the charges post, I’ve been getting the $75 credit within a week so by the time your parts / cables / gewgaws show up you’ll have the credit in just a few days if you don’t already.

I’ve never received one of these offers to the point that I don’t even know what to open or where to look for such an offer.

If you’re logged into the BofA website, click on the “Special Offers & Deals” tab and then select “Cash back deals.” You should see any deals targeted to you, and then you can click on Preferences to see which of your cards are eligible for the program (possibly all of them).

Got this for a second time this year. Bought two $15 cables on separate orders, will get $75 credit, so net of about $45.

Also got it on my wife’s account a few weeks ago and it’s already posted. Nice $135 profit between all three offers.

Thanks DoC!

Regarding the “Someone mentions the idea of buying a $25 refill card from an AT&T store which would work for prepaid plans.” part, as I mentioned in a previous comment, in my experience, AT&T has pulled all gift AND refill cards from the four corporate stores in my vicinity since the end of May 2017, so it’s a no-go. In trying to order the refill cards online, apparently it’s not just my isolated experience that AT&T has a tendency to flag the orders for “failure to authorize payment”, even though it never even attempted to charge the BoA cc in the first place. Also, the amount of dishonesty and incompetency shown by AT&T employees, both in-store and at its “Office of the President” are sickening.

Do you guys put regular spend on this card? How do you get targeted for such offers? I have never gotten this maybe because I don’t use my cash rewards card often

I was wondering the same thing. Had this offer once in March, but haven’t gotten any since then. I only use the card occasionally though.

I think a lot of it is based on spending for your card. My wife’s Merrill+ card has a bunch of offers from auto parts stores and repair places (like Firestone) because we used her card to buy some tires to finish off the min spend.

It might be worth the “investment” of making a small purchase on the various bonus categories if you have the Cash Rewards card (buy a tank of gas, a few bucks in groceries, get a pretzel at the mall, etc.) You may not get the max rewards on that particular purchase, but if it opens up a few of these $40-$70 free cash moneymakers then it would be worthwhile.

FYI, I did this about a month ago and BoA gave me $150 instead of $75 for some reason.

I’ve missed this in the past because when I hold the mouse over the link it says “…cash back when you switch to AT&T wireless.” I have this in my log in and my SO’s log in. Thanks DoC, you made my day again.
