The last few days the blog has been all but taken over by Prime day and competing stores sales. I know some readers hate these deals, but I always enjoy providing coverage. I always tell readers that don’t enjoy that coverage to just wait a few days and then return to the site. I thought it would be useful to write a post outlining things you may have missed if you did take a two or three day break. I won’t mention anything about Amazon (that’s a lie, I’ll quickly mention that we got banned from the Amazon affiliate program).
The below posts are in no particular order, just posts that I think are particularly important/noteworthy from the last few days:
- Marcus-Goldman Bank New & Existing Customers 1% Bonus On Deposits, Up to $500
- How To Avoid The Glitch That Affects Seeing Amex Offers In Your Amex Login
- [YMMV] Dosh: 4% Back At Safeway
- [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Staples, Spend $40+ & Receive $10 Statement Credit or 1,000 Points
- UberEats: Promo Codes, Discounts & Other Savings (SUMMERFUN19 – $5 Off Next Five Orders)
- [Targeted] American Express Blue Cash Preferred $250 Upgrade Offer
- Apply for a new Target REDcard Debit/Credit and Get $40 off $40 Shopping Trip + $4 In SB
- [Targeted] Chase Ink Unlimited – Up To $2,000 Sign Up Bonus
- [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Get 30% Back On Select Technology Providers Up To $100 (Includes Newegg)
- [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Online Super Stores, 5% Back ($15 Maximum, Includes Target, Walmart & Jet)
- [Targeted] Use Discover For Your Mobile Phone Bill And Get $20 Credit
- Amex Offers: Boxed, Spend $75 & Get $20 Statement Credit
Hi Doc, do you know why Amazon banned you from their affiliate program?
Yeah, reason is listed in that post
“I know some readers hate these deals” Yep, I’m one of those readers. The important stuff with long-term significance gets lost in all the one-day deal posts.
Thankfully it’s only a few days a year
I missed out on the camera pricing mistake they they had lol. Didn’t buy anything on prime day, wish I would have check slick deals since the camera deals showed up on their site.

Amazon waiting until one of their largest volume days of the year to ban you from their affiliate program just highlights how shitty and unethical of a company they are.
It could be that the large volume caused the click on “search engine ads” (post by other copiers) increased above their threshold of alerting.
