Best Posts Last Week: Delta 50k + $100 Offer, $900 In Nationwide Bank Bonuses & $25 Off $50+ At Amazon

Last week was dominated by American Express news, first the good stuff: there is a 50k + $100 statement credit on the American Express Personal Delta gold card. Now for the bad news the Blue Cash Preferred is having it’s annual fee increased to $95 (starts August 3rd for new cardholders but will also affect existing cardholders). They are also eliminating annual fee prorated refunds starting in September.

There was also some bad news for existing Fidelity Visa card holders, they will still need to spend $15,000 before the card earns 2% – even though the new Visa card earns 2% off the bat. Chase also came out and squashed rumors that the Chase Freedom was being eliminated. U.S bank will also be launching two new products soon as well.

It was a slow week for bank account bonuses, but there were three new ones and all of them worth a look.  Chase has a publicly available bonus of $500 for checking ($300) & savings ($200), Citibank has a $400 checking bonus with no direct deposit required (but initial deposit of $15,000) and finally TD Bank has a $300 checking bonus for those in CT, DC, DE, FL, MD, ME, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, & VA.

Some of the best deals have already expired, so follow us on Twitter if you haven’t already. You can get $25 off $50+ at Amazon.com by using a single Membership Rewards point. There is also 1,750 free United miles for new MyPoint users & another 500 for downloading the Prosper app. We also looked at the Sheradill app, this gives you the chance to get some big discounts on HIP hotels and a 20 euro joining bonus.

Last but not least there is a 25% transfer bonus when you transfer American Express membership rewards points to Hawaiian Airlines and up to 30% if you transfer Citi ThankYou points to Qantas.
