Our Verdict

I believe this offer is widely available on most cards, as is usually the case. Oddly, I can’t find it on any of mine (maybe slow roll out?) {never mind, I was just being hit by the 100 limit.} Best Buy comes out, like clockwork, with two Amex Offers per year, one in mid-year and one around November for the holiday season.

Check out this comprehensive post Everything you ever wanted to know about Buying Gift Cards at Best Buy to learn more about which gift cards to buy at Best Buy in-store or online. Options include $200 Visa gift cards for $205.95 (don’t think these are available anymore), eBay gift cards, gas gift cards, restaurant gift cards, and more. The options are slimmer online, but they do now have eBay and dining gift cards (Starbucks, etc.) online. Some people may want to make use of this offer organically to buy holiday gifts.

Buying physical Best Buy gift cards or any other gift card which is processed directly on Bestbuy.com should work to trigger the offer credit. Buying an e-gift card which is processed through Cashstar probably won’t trigger the credit.

Remember, you can save on offer per SSN of the cash offer and one of the points offer.

Got this on one card. Also you can earn 400 or more points from Best Buy depending if you have elite or elite plus membership. 250 points is worth $5.00. I hope they still have Visa Gift cards. The points earned somewhat offsets the $5.95 fee for the Visa cards. 2 $200 visa cards would cost $411.90. So you’re looking at $30 from AMEX and maybe $10 from Best Buy depending on your membership status.

Here in NJ, the VISA gift cards have been long gone.

They have Amazon and Shell and BP gift cards.

Did not get this offer yet. Got the last one.

Haven’t seen VGC there since two winters ago. Cashiers/managers also like to make their own rules like one CC per transaction (per day), and $200 max per GC purchase paying with CC *including* fee. Might get a cheapie laptop, since I’m still sitting on $100 (2×50) BB gift cards from the Wells Fargo CC 50% CB offer.

Saved MR version on one card and credit version on another card early morning

As a reminder, only 50 offers show in the app. If you don’t see it in the app then check on the actual website. Was not in the app for me, but was on the site.

I have 5x $30 off $300 and 2x 3000 MR for $300 across all my AUs. Love having family members who don’t use their AMEX offers. Guess I’ll be stocking up on a years worth of gas.

I have AUs on my account but how do I add Amex offers to theirs? I only see the option to add it to main account holder. I only see my additional card member when im switching cards on the website.

They need their own log in. Don’t add offers to AUs if those folks plan to use the offer on their accounts. Offers are 1 per SSN so once you add to AU you’re stealing from that AUs primary account.

Looks like amex may have fixed the loophole finally this time. I had it on 6 AU’s. Did purchases and only 1 cash and 1 MR posted. Rest didn’t get points/cash even though i got the redemmed offer email on all cards.

For those wondering, the AU’s have their own login and SSN.

I have the same issue… Redeemed 3 MR offers on the same day. Only one AU got MR posted in 2 days. The rest haven’t got anything. It’s been more than 10 days now. I also got the redeemed offer email on all cards.

If you do not see the offer, the tip is to load as many offers to your card (even if you don’t like them or intend to use them) as possible because the max display limit of unloaded offers on desktop at least is 100 offers. Credit to SD user for this tip. I did not see this offer on any of my cards and then followed this tip and added some offers and then it showed up. Dang now I am thinking this might have been the reason I missed Staples and some other in the past.

How long did you have to click before Best Buy showed up? Had Staples show up via loading, but too little, too late.

Does it work on online bestbuy gift card purchase? Egiftcard or physical giftcard?

Did a search didn’t come up –

AmEx offer:
P.F. Changs offer $50 get $10 back –

S-Pay 15% off Hotel.com GC (limit $150 GC per day) –

Also $10 off $50 Hotel.com GC popped up on again on several AU (AmEx) – Already used it once on Primary- but able to use again.

AmEx $10 off DIne Small this November Spend $10 or more Get $10 back (in-store.on-line) was only on my Gold card (Primary no AU)

Are they still allowing AMEX CC holder to add same offers to multiple CCs? Not the AUs. I don’t have AUs, but have multiple AMEX CC that shows all these offers. But once I redeem offer on one card, I can’t redeem it on the other cards anymore. I know there was a way around buy going Incognito mode and open up multiple tabs, etc. Is it still valid?

Has there been issue with AMEX for redeeming one cash offer and MR offer under different cards with same SSN? With AMEX being petty, just want to play it safe. Lol
