Amazon: Apple Airpods Pro for $235 (Potential Stack to bring down cost to $188); Other Airpods Discounted As Well

Update 11/28/19: Price has dropped $5 on the regular latest model Airpods from $134 to $129. These sell on Apple for $159. Updated info below – ‘Other Airpod Deals’.

Update 11/28/19: Airpods Pro deal is still available, shipping times might take a few weeks (this continues to fluctuate back and forth; anecdotally, they end up shipping out within days even when it says it’ll take longer). Today, Amazon lowered the price on the regular Airpods (non-Pro) with wireless charging from $165 to $155 (stack to bring cost down to $124). These sell on Apple for $199.

Update 11/22/19: It’s now showing immediate delivery for the Airpods Pro. Free one-day delivery showing at the time of this writing.

Update 11/18/19: Deal is still ongoing. Estimated shipping time is now down to 1 – 4 weeks which matters for holiday timing. (Previously it was showing 1 – 2 months, yet some reported getting it much faster. This 1-4 week estimate seems to be an overestimate too as readers are reporting it coming within a week; obviously don’t rely on that 100%.)

Update 11/13/19: Deal is back. Probably won’t last long based on prior experience.

The Offer

Direct Link to Airpods Pro (affiliate links here and below)

Amazon is selling the new Apple Airpods Pro marked down $15 from $2.49.99 to $234.98. Ships in 1 – 2 weeks.

Costco has been offering this on and off as well. This Amazon deal helps especially for those without Costco membership. And of course on Amazon there are tons of deals which can stack to sweeten the offer here (see below).

Stacking the Deal

Our Verdict

The price point on these Airpods is pretty close to maximizing one of the 20%/$50 versions (above) if you got that. Total cost would be just $188 for the new Airpods Pro. These are nice holiday gift ideas if it fits your price range. Check out our Guide to Savings on Amazon as well.

Whoever pays 235 for earphones is out of their g@ddam (for grammar nazis: mispelled on purpose) mind.

you spent more time clarifying your typo than just leaving it. very weird confidence considering you misspelled “mispelled”

People who care about what other people spend their money are out of their “g@ddam” minds too.

QC35 II’s are actually less than these now… can be had for $205 currently.

It really depends on how much worth you get out of it. When I ride the bus every day, the noise cancellation blocks out excess noise and makes the ride that much more comfortable. Combined into portable package, it’s the type of earbuds you can use almost everywhere. And when I can have it covered for 3 years guaranteed (applecare + credit card), it really only costs me cents per day and is a no brainer to buy.

Justin
Justin

Ton, have you used the Bose quiet comfort? I love them but definitely the bulk can get annoying. Ever used the airbuds on a plane? Curious if they block sound nearly as well.

Idk, different strokes for different folks. I see lots of poor people with these things on and yeah, it is pretty dumb to spend that much when you’re living paycheck to paycheck and the price of these headphones might be more than your liquid assets.

But there’s plenty of well off people that make decent money and want some solid wireless earbuds. $250 is just dinner and wine for two with tip at a very nice restaurant in a real city. Or a pretty average price for nice dress shoes. If you listen to music when working or studying, you might very reasonably use these for 20 hours a week. At 1000 hours a year then you’re taking about 25 cents an hour for a better listening experience, for just the first year.

When you’re thinking about marginal spending to improve life enjoyment, very plausible this would be it. It’s not crazy.

Me? I’d lose the damn things. And I’d want to use them for over 4.5 hours uninterrupted. I have a $20 pair of Skullcandys and a $5 JetBlue earbud set that’s fine for me. But calling other people crazy just for liking things you don’t value as much is a little presumptuous.

Kevin
Kevin

Totally ignorant comment. Perhaps they’re not worth it for you, and that’s fine.

Personally, I took 189 flights last year, and I’d consider someone flying frequently who doesn’t spend $200+ on good noise-cancelling headphones to be out of *their* mind.

TL;DR: mind your own g@ddam business.

I’ll tell you what I told my elderly parents… just because you don’t listen to anything on your jitterbug today doesn’t mean high end wireless noise canceling headphones are a waste of money. My elderly father that is hard of hearing thought i lost my mind when I bought him a pair of QC35 II’s along with an iPad. Now he can’t live without either. He called me 3 times while I was at work one day because he wore out the charging cable and his headphones were dead. Then my mom and him started bickering over having to share so much, so now she has her own. I also gave a pair of noise canceling headphones to my brother on law that couldn’t sleep while in the hospital. It was a huge relief for him. That said, you can get by without noise canceling if you don’t listen to stuff in noisy environments and can hear well. You don’t need wireless if you don’t move around while listening to stuff. Simple at home test… Try push mowing the lawn sometime with a pair of regular wired headphones and then try these. Tell me I’m crazy then. Lol.

It’s apparently a law that if you give or buy anything for your parents, you owe them lifetime tech support 🙂

Thanks for this. Just loaded my balance with my Discover Card (5% back) and used the 25% off Amex offer on these. I’ve been eyeing them for a while and I can’t imagine a better deal than this any time in the next year. My original Airpods have been my favorite phone accessory ever, so I’m excited to upgrade. Those complaining about the price just don’t understand the convenience of these.

Tommy

amex has a 25% offer on this!? how do u stack discover and amex, what was ur total price after discount?

Cliftonmcdnl

Sorry for the confusion. It was the 20% offer max $50. Just used my Discover card to load my balance with enough funds for the purchase. This quarter’s category includes Amazon.

There are plenty of other products that deliver real audiophile-level sound for the comparable price, that’s why I’m complaining about this “deal”. I mean, if you don’t care about the sound quality of your music, then be my guest, but I really don’t understand it when there are much better options out there.

Spiel
Spiel

you say there are “plenty of other products”. which true wireless earbuds have “audiophile-level sound” like you’re claiming? i tried the bose soundsport free and jabra elite so far. what other models compare to those?

Tommy

how do i get it down to 188? I can stack MR UR and TYP?

Buckeyejalen

Just brought one yesterday when the 20% came out and ended up paying $200+tax. Today I was trying to price match but Amazon denied that. If I cancel and reorder would it be automatically qualified for the Amex 20% promo again?

Cliftonmcdnl

I have been in a similar situation and the promotion did not apply again. I contacted support and they said it was “one use only.” So I wouldn’t risk it just to save ~$13. You still got a great deal.

Joseph Garcia
Joseph Garcia

Ask for a courtesy credit instead of a refund to your payment method. That way you don’t have to mess with any previously stacked promotions. It worked for me because they were refusing to price match.

JT
JT

How do you pair MR points with the Amazon 25% offer?

BlissfulApathy
BlissfulApathy

Can’t believe the comments… these deliver terrible sound quality and value for the price.

Please, PLEASE, I beg of you: check out “inner ear monitors” instead for half the price. Just because you save $15 doesn’t make it a good deal.

I hear you, and i didn’t buy AirPods for the same reason, but you are talking to the wrong crowd. People who buy AirPods don’t buy them for sound quality.

doubt they’re trying to lie. probably just hard to estiamte their actual availability/in stock so they’re being cautious to not over promise customers with the holidays upcoming
