Best Posts This Week: Chase $450 Offer, Benefits Removed, 60k Bonuses & Much More

Late in the week Chase sent out a number of offers on their Southwest credit cards. It’s now possible to get 60,000 points on the business premier version, simply by calling. There is a targeted offer on the personal premier for 50,000 points + $100 statement credit and you can still get a 50,000 point sign up bonus on the personal plus card. If you wanted the companion pass, now would be a good time to get it.

Two popular business cards have had benefits removed. The Chase Ink cards will no longer come with a Lounge Club card (and two free passes), although you still have until April 30th to sign up for this benefit and the card will continue to work until the expiry date. American Express also removed the 20% pay with points rebate on their Business Platinum card.

In other American Express platinum news, we had a look at the American Express Goldman Sachs Platinum card and then compared all the different flavors of platinum cards. If you don’t already have one of these cards, there is a 150,000 point sign up bonus on the Business Platinum card floating around. If you do have the personal platinum, you might be able to get 3x MR points on all restaurant purchases.

In other random credit card news, we saw one of the worst sign up bonuses ever: 2 Litres of Soda. While that bonus is an absolute joke, the comments are hilarious and quite useful if you ever see a decent bonus for application and not approval. We also saw more reports of the Discover it secured card graduating to an unsecured card. For Weird Wednesday we also had a look at the TD Aeroplan credit card which might be interesting for some.

It was quite a good week for bank bonuses. The best bonus that was released was the Chase $300 + $150 offer. the only downside is that you need to open this account in branch. Another good offer was the Citizen’s Bank/Charter One offer for $200 and it does not require a direct deposit. There are also bonuses for $250 for Huntington bank that are worth a look, although you need to buy those coupons on eBay.

Also just a friendly reminder, if you ever see something you think we should cover that we haven’t already covered – contact us! You can e-mail me directly at [email protected], it helps to make this site even better than it already is.
