I just got back from my vacation, so if things have seemed slower than usual now you know why. Thanks to Chuck for holding down the fort. Now onto the news and deals from last week. We updated our best credit card sign up bonus page for December. Chase is considering offering 5x on all purchases made using a mobile wallet based on a survey that was sent out, in addition that’s one of the Q1 2018 5% categories. Chase has also hired a former Barclaycard executive to run their sapphire cards. American Express has joined Mastercard & Discover in not requiring a signature for purchases.
Very slow week for bank account bonuses, in fact we didn’t add any. Don’t worry, more are coming! Ally did increase the APY on their no penalty CD to 1.6% making it the best ‘basic’ savings rate. Discover also launched their checking account that earns 1% cash back on all debit card purchases.
Dunkin Donuts fans can get a $10 bonus when they load $10 or more. Swagbucks is offering a $25 money maker with IMVU. Apple Pay looks like they are finally trying to compete by offering a $5 iTunes gift card per eligible partner you use it with. There is also an American Express offer offering 4,000 MR points when you spend $300+ with Marriott.
