Best Posts Last Week: Free $20, Guide To Funding $100,000 With Credit Card, $110 In Free Hotel Credit & 110,000 In Credit Card Points

There wasn’t much news in the credit card world, it’s possible for some people to get a 60,000 mile + $50 statement credit on the American Express Delta Gold cards (both personal & business) and the Citi Business AAdvantage Platinum Select bonus has also been increased to 50,000 miles. Both of these bonuses are the highest they go, so if you’re interested in either now is the time to pick them up.

This week was all about the American Express offers, Staples & Office Depot filled up quickly (I hope you’ve automated your Amex Offers or at least subscribe to our text alerts). But there are still good deals for Zappos (spend $200, receive $40), Walmart (spend $79+, receive $15 but targeted), Chilis (spend $30+, receive $4), Best Buy (spend $250, receive $25) and Saks Avenue (spend $400, receive 6,000 bonus MR points). If you haven’t completed all of the Amex checkout deals, read this post first and then there is still an opportunity for $5 profit per card at Ticketmaster (read the comments for more ideas).

You can also get $110 in Orbitz credit (good for hotel stays) by submitting some photos here and $20 for US Bank cardholders for enrolling with Visa checkout. There was a good eBay deal as well, full details here. The best deal was a $20 money maker when purchasing 76 Giftcards. If you want to be the first to know about eBay gift card deals, you should of course read this blog but this post in particular will show you how to spot them before they go live.

And finally we get to the bank bonuses. First of all Chuck wrote an excellent post on how to set up a Citi checking account to get the 30,000 American Airlines or 40,000 Citi ThankYou point bonuses, remember you can fund up to about $100,000 with a credit card as well so it’s an easy way to knock out some spending. MountainOne bank is also offering a $200 bonus for those living in MA, VT, NH, MA, RI, NY & CT. We know now that it’s a soft pull to open this account and you can fund up to $1,000 initially with a credit card, because of that we’ve added it to our list of the best bank bonuses currently available.
