There were only two credit cards last week with increased sign up bonuses, but both are best in show. The Chase Fairmont card now comes with two free nights at any Fairmont property and no annual fee for the first year. Fairmont properties in general are usually exceptional, just make sure you have a plan on where to use them in the next twelve months. American Express also increased the sign up bonus on the Hilton Surpass card to 85,000 points, personally I don’t find Hilton points that valuable, but for those who do this is a great offer. If you haven’t already then you should also activate your 5% categories for quarter three.
We added a lot of new bank bonuses last week, there are five worth mentioning. Astoria Bank is offering $300 for those in NY. MountainOne is offering $200 for those in MA, VT, NH, MA, RI, NY & CT, Blue Hills has $200 for those in MA, First Federal Bank of Wisconsin $200 has checking bonus and Florida Community Bank $200 Checking Bonus with Direct Deposit Optional.
There were a lot of good deals last week as well. By far the best is spending $250+ at Home Depot or Staples and receive $75 which can be used up to five times, the problem is that it’s only available on some American Express cards. You can use one Chase UR point and get $10 off at Amazon, topcashback has $14 cash back for purchasing a gig on Fiverr which is a profit of $8.5.
