Best Posts Last Week: Two 100,000 Point Offers, 5% Everywhere Coming & Lots More Deals

This week was all about the Hotel credit cards, first American Express re-released their 75,000 & 100,000 point offers on their Hilton cards. Then Chase came out with a 100,000 offer on their Marriott business card. Bank of America also came back with their $200 offer on their cash rewards card. Chase also gave everybody a little scare by sending out postcards saying cardholders weren’t eligible for credit card sign up bonuses they were eligible for, thankfully these were sent out in error. American Express joined the party by freezing people’s membership rewards accounts that had signed up for the 100,000 Platinum offer, thankfully these accounts are now unfrozen. Wells Fargo weren’t messing around when they sent out warning letters to 5% back cardholders. Thankfully the NBA BBVA 5% everywhere promotion is back from June 2nd till June 16th.

It was a flat week for bank bonuses with Seacoast closing people’s accounts that signed up outside of Florida for their $200 checking promotion. Northpointe is back with a $50 opening promotion + $50 to charity + 5% APY on balances up to $5,000. Bill Clancy from Northpointe also did another ask a banker answer series, where he answered some of your questions regarding money orders and credit scoring.
