It was a positive week when it comes to credit cards (for a change, yay!). U.S. Bank are rumored to be entering the premium credit card market, increased competition is only good news. This is evidenced by the fact American Express is offering high retention bonuses (up to 50,000 points) on their Platinum cards. FNBO made positive changes and added a sign up bonus of $250 to it’s TravElite card.
A lot of other card issuers added increased sign up bonuses as well, first Chase with a 100,000 point offer on the British Airways card. Barclaycard added a $200 bonus on it’s Cash Forward card and 40,000 points on it’s Choice card. City National Bank extended the 100,000 bonus on the commercial card and last but not least U.S. Bank has a 30,000 mile offer on the Korean card.

It was a good week for deals as well, Robinhood is giving away $10 referral bonuses for both parties. American Express has an AmEx Offer for an easy $15 with Android Pay and Discover cardholders can get a free $10 for Kohl’s.
It was a good week for manufacturing spend, Office Depot/Max was offering an instant discount of $10 on Mastercard purchases of $50+ (now expired, but a new deal is now available). Safeway/Vons/Shaw’s also has a coupon for $10 off $25+ when you purchase $50 or more in gift cards (including Mastercard). Last but not least there is a public AmEx offer for $10 off $200 in American Express gift cards.
