Best Posts Last Week: New 80k Sign Up Bonus, Free Uber & Lyft & More

This week was all about Chase & Citi, let’s start with the Chase news first. They launched the new Chase Ink Preferred and removed sign ups for the Chase Ink Plus (but you can still sign up via referral links).  You can read our full review of the Chase Ink Preferred here. It’s also possible to get a sign up bonus of 70,000 points on the Sapphire Preferred in branch and a 30,000 point offer on the Chase Freedom Unlimited.

Citi mistakening sent out letters to some Citi Prestige cardholders letting them know their annual fee would be reduced to $350, that’s not happening but those that did get the letter in error will get 1,000 points for free. They also added a 40,000 point bous on the Citi Premier (unfortunately the annual fee is not waived first year). They might also have a new application rule. Final piece of Citi news is that they are offering an extra 0.5 points when you transfer your Citi ThankYou points to Hilton making it 1:2.

In other credit card news, there is a great sign up bonus that nobody is talking about (our full review of this card can be found here). Wells Fargo have also increased the sign up bonus to $150 on some of their cards. American Express are also offering a 50% transfer bonus to Iberia.

Don has put together an amazing resource for bank account bonuses, it covers hub accounts and ACH transfers. It gives information such as how many accounts can be linked, fees and other useful information. Citibank are back with a $300 checking bonus, TIAA direct have a $250 savings bonus for existing customers and CIT bank (not to be confused with Citi) have a $200 savings bonus as well.

Lots of good deals last week. American Express & Uber have partnered to give two $65 uber rides at select airports. Lyft are also giving two $5 ride codes at select airports.
