Last week saw the launch of the Chase Starbucks Visa card and it’s worse than expected with a $49 annual fee and 1x earn rate at Starbucks. In better news U.S. Bank has brought back their Olympics promotion for the FlexPerks travel card and Chase is offering $30 back with $300 spend at grocery and drug stores on the Chase Hyatt card. We also took a look at the best credit cards to use for travel purchases and how to check your application status with each card issuer.
It’s the end of an era with Northpointe announcing they won’t be offering 5% APY from March 1st onwards, we also took a look at some of the other alternatives. BMO Harris is offering a $200/$500 business checking bonus that is very much worth doing if you live in AZ, FL, IL, IN, KS, MO, MN and WI. BB&T also has a $100 personal bonus worth doing if you’re in AL, DC, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV. I’d recommend taking a look at all the new bank account bonuses and high interest accounts we added to the site below.
There is a YMMV deal from Amazon where you can get a $10 bonus for reloading $100, the trick is that you don’t actually need to reload $100 to get the bonus. Visa SavingsEdge now has activate offers, including 10% back at Office Depot. There is also a $30 money maker from Swagbucks and IMVU. Full list of deals below.
