Last week the biggest news by far was Chase announcing the new ‘Pay Yourself Back’ feature that lets you cashout points for up to 1.5¢ against certain charges. The travel credit is also easier to use and annual fees are $450 for renewals currently. Chase has also hinted a similar feature on Chase Ink Cards. The feature itself has been in development since before COVID-19, so it might stay longer than we think. U.S. Bank has now set released dates for the U.S. bank Connect & Go cards. Barclays has sent out letters to cardholders telling them to use their cards or they will be cancelled.
We’ve updated our beginners guide to bank account bonuses for 2020. U.S. Bank has a $300 checking bonus and Chase is offering $2,000 if you upgrade to Chase Private Client. TastyWorks has also extended the brokerage bonus offering 100 free stocks. We got some more information about the Samsung Money by SoFi card as well.
YouTube Premium subscribers can get a free Google nest mini. Burger King is offering a free whopper. More people have been targeted for the Amazon offers with Membership Rewards points ($20 off $80 or 30/40% off). Ford is offering a free oil change for all essential workers (works on non ford cars as well). Swagbucks has an extremely quick $2.12 money maker. Epic Games has some more free games.
IHG has launched variable point pricing and at the moment everything is cheaper than before. I don’t expect that to last, but for now it’s great news. American Express is expanding the Las Vegas Centurion Lounge. Emirates has massively reduced award fees.
