Best Posts Last Week: New Hilton Cards, $500 Business Credit Card Bonus & More

Last week saw the release of the new Hilton cards from American Express. We took a look to see if applying made sense and also if the Ascend was considered a new product or not. American Express also increased the sign up bonus on the SimplyCash card to $500. We also took a look at the best use of Hilton free night certificates.

BMO Harris has also doubled the sign up bonuses on their credit cards as well. PenFed released the new Pathfinder Rewards American Express card and it’s better than originally expected with a 25k point bonus, $100 annual travel credit and no annual fee to worry about.

It was a bit of a slow week for bank account bonuses, but the popular $300 checking & $200 savings bonuses from Chase returned. First Tech Federal Credit Union is also offering a $100 nationwide checking bonus, unfortunately they do a hard pull. The YMMV offer on the Capital One $200 money market bonus has also returned. We also saw savings rates increase with ableBanking offering a 1.7% APY rate and Live Oak Bank offering a 2.1% APY one year CD.

It was another good week for deals. The easy AT&T money maker from Bank of America and other banks is back. Chase made a few changes to their Chase Pay Best Buy promotion. Amazon is offering some customers a $20 credit for loading $100 via Amazon Cash. There is also two new card linked loyalty programs worth a look. Spent offers flat cash back at certain merchants, similar to Drop. Expense offers you a fixed amount of points per transaction. Unfortunately AmEx offers via Twitter/Facebook is now dead. I’d recommend reading through all the deals available below.

As always a lot of the good deals have already expired, make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals. If we missed any deals or you have an idea for a post, please let us know ([email protected] or [email protected]).
