Best Posts Last Week: New 75k, 60k & 50k Credit Card Bonuses, Chase Security Issues & More

Last week was a crazy week, there was a significant security issue over at Chase. With people logging in to their own accounts and gaining access to other people’s accounts, Chase has apparently fixed the issue now and claims no unauthorized transactions were made but that goes against initial reports we saw. In better news it was a great week for credit card bonuses with Banco Popular bringing back the 60,000 Avianca offer and Citi bringing back the 50,000 Premier offer. U.S. bank also added real time rewards meaning you can get 1.5¢ per point on travel purchases without having to go through their portal. We also put together a beginners guide to credit card bonuses.

All that being said, it was a week dominated by American Express. If you see an American Express business credit card bonus then try calling and asking for it. There is also a 75,000 point offer on the business gold rewards without lifetime language, but not everybody is targeted. They are also offering both upgrade offers and also a 10,000 point pay over time bonus to some cardholders. Chase is also offering increased bonuses of 60,000 on the Chase Sapphire Reserve & Preferred to some in branch.

It was a slower week for bank account bonuses and interest rates. Chase briefly offered the $300 checking & $200 savings bonus online. You might still be able to do it by using this trick. Advantis has a $150 checking bonus of $150 for those in OR & WA, would be a great bonus because of no direct deposit requirement but it’s a hard pull. The best high yield savings account is now 1.75% from All America Bank.

As always lots of great deals last week. You can get $30 off $60 on Amazon by using a MR point, make sure to try it again even if you’ve done it before. Sprint has renewed the free unlimited plan for one year. PetSmart is offering $10 off $10+ in store, might make an easy donation to a shelter if you don’t have any pets. Swagbucks has a money maker on Hulu and also Dollar Shave Club. Lots more great deals can be found below. Sadly it wasn’t such a good week for manufactured spending.

As always a lot of the good deals have already expired, make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals. If we missed any deals or you have an idea for a post, please let us know ([email protected] or [email protected]).
