Best Posts Last Week: New Hilton Credit Cards, No More Money Orders At The PO & More

Biggest news last week was American Express confirming two new Hilton cards. There is a business card with a $95 annual fee and the Aspire personal card with a $450 annual fee. Citi Hilton cards will also be becoming American Express cards as well. The Surpass card will become the Ascend card and the question everybody wants answered is will it be considered a new product? American Express increased the current sign up bonus on the Surpass to 125,000 points and they also increased the bonus on the Schwab investor card to $200.

Barclaycard also launched their new Uber card and Chase announced they will be launching a co-branded card with Starbucks. Discover released all of their 5% categories for 2018. It was a very slow week for bank account bonuses. Discover extending their $150/$200 savings bonus really the only thing of note. For those chasing high interest savings accounts Northpointe are offering a 1.5% APY rate on balances of $25,000+.

With it being the start of the month a lot of new good deals were added to the site. E.g you can get a $60 item for $10 by using Drop & giftagram. There are amex offers at newegg, QuikTrip, Best Buy, on your cell phone and satellite bills. You can also get an easy $10 at Amazon by changing your 1 click settings to Citi. A full list of deals can be found below. It wasn’t such a good week for manufactured spending with the USPS hardcoding against gift cards for money order purchases. Plastiq is working with American Express again thankfully.

As always a lot of the good deals have already expired, make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals. If we missed any deals or you have an idea for a post, please let us know ([email protected] or [email protected]).
