Best Posts Last Week: Bypass 5/24, 100k Platinum, 10% Back At Lowe’s + Staples + ExxonMobile & More

It was another slow week, but two pieces of good news. Chase selected for you/green checkmark offers are bypassing the 5/24 rule again & some people are seeing a 100,000 point offer on the American Express platinum card or 50,000 on the Premier Rewards gold card via CardMatch American Express pre-qualified offers. The Citi Sears card continues to be good value without another round of 10x point earning opportunities being sent out. Some previous Toys R us cardholders also have spending offers of up to $100 to use the new Synchrony card.

It was an even slower week for bank account bonuses & saving rates news and unfortunately the news isn’t good with Insight announcing that they will be officially ending the linked 5% APY savings accounts on July 1st. Bank & Trust is back with a $200/$350 bonus for those in CA, KS, MT MO, AZ, CO, NM IL, IA & WI and there is a $50 opportunity for opening a 529 plan as well nationwide.

American Express replaced the OPEN Savings program with ‘Do More Business’ offers, they are basically just American Express sync offers only available to business cardholders. Try using this special link if you can’t get the offers to show. They launched with 10% back at Lowe’s, Staples & ExxonMobile and offers of up to 25% at FedEx. There is also offers available to personal cardholders as well for $20 off $100+ in Hilton gift cards and 10% back on Cable/Satellite purchases. Starbucks added a new promotion where you can get up to 425 stars, similar to the Bingo game they have previously offered.
