Best Posts Last Week: 100K Platinum, AmEx Nerfs Priority Pass & More

Last week the biggest credit card news was that American Express cards providing Priority Pass access would no longer offer non-lounge options (e.g restaurants). Chase, Citi & U.S. Bank all came out and said they had no plans to change the Priority Pass benefits they offer at this stage, but this doesn’t really mean anything. American Express also added Qantas as a 1:1 transfer bonus. Some people can get a 20k point offer on the Blue Business Plus and more people have been targeted for the American Express Platinum 100,000 offer.

We updated the best bank bonus page and best brokerage page. COIN Brokerage currently has a $50 bonus with easy to meet requirements. Wealthfront has also launched a 2.51% APY cash account. We also added a lot of state specific bank bonuses, all of these can be viewed below.

It was a good week for deals with AmEx offer $25 back on $200 spend at Samsclub.com and $25 back with $100 in spend at Staples. Discover is offering 10% back on Walmart on up to $100 in purchases and Wells Fargo has 15% back on grocery and gas purchases with a $40 cash back maximum. Speedway has a great gift card offer where you get $15 in free gas when you spend $100 on select gift cards. Starbucks has also launched a new promotion for bonus stars.
