Last week saw Chase launch two new credit cards: The Marriott Bonvoy Bold & the Freedom Student card. We also saw Chase release the 5% rotating categories for Q3 and a YMMV bonus for 70,000 points on the CSP. Amazon & Synchrony bank have also teamed up to offer a secured credit card. Citi Premier is again offering a 60,000 point sign up bonus.
It was a slow week for bank account bonuses, but we did see Chase extended the $600 checking & savings bonus. Chase also released a 50,000 point Southwest checking/savings bonus as well but that offer is targeted. The other big news was that BB&T has merged with SunTrust to create the sixth largest bank that and will operate under the name Truist Bank.
Wells Fargo is offering a $10 Amazon credit when you change your one click settings to a Discover card. More people were targeted for the Chase UR deal offering $15 off $60 on Amazon when using a single point. Chase Pay is offering an additional 5% back at select merchants including Walmart, but the offer is targeted. Sam’s Club is offering $15 off $50+ on first in club pick up order.
American Airlines gift cards are again triggering American Express incidental credits. Hilton has confirmed that a devaluation of points has occurred as well.
