Best Posts Last Week: Free Credit Freezes, $30 Off Amazon & 75,000 City National Offer

City National Bank is offering a bonus of 75,000 points on their Visa Infinite card, it’s really worth considering if you’re eligible due to the way the airline credits and authorized users work. You can now register for quarter fours 5% categories, a full list, activation links and offers can be viewed here. The American Express Premier Rewards Gold card is being revamped, we have the full details here. American Express is also offering a 40% transfer bonus to British Airways.  Barclays has increased the sign up bonus on the business JetBlue card to 50,000 points, the highest we’ve seen on this card.

It was a strange week for bank account bonuses, there is now a public link for a Chase $600 checking & savings bonus but this contains new language saying you can only do the bonuses one every two years rather than once every calendar year. The older $500 bonus still contains the old language so worth doing if you’re still eligible for a bonus in 2018. Wells Fargo is beta testing a new mobile banking platform called Greenhouse and offering a $150 bonus to some iOS users that are selected for the trial. KeyBank is also back with the popular $300 checking account bonus for those in AK, NY, OH, ID, IN, ME, MI, OR, PA, UT & VT. As always a full list of new bank bonuses can be viewed below.

You can get an easy $25 by adding a Capital One credit card to Google Pay, we’ve now confirmed that offer is not targeted. Amazon is offering $30 off $60+ when using a single MR point and the promo works on gift cards. By the time you’re reading this the IHG PointsBreak list should be live. Card linked program spent is now offering 3% back on gas purchases with no end date listed. Retailmenot has also added a number of very useful app deals for places like Sam’s Club, Staples & more.

You can also now freeze your credit report for free nationwide. We look at whether you should keep your report frozen or not. Chuck also put together a great piece on what merchant gift cards can be loaded to your account and the two types of models used.

As always a lot of the good deals have already expired, make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals. If we missed any deals or you have an idea for a post, please let us know ([email protected] or [email protected]).
