Best Posts Last Week: $100 Off At Amazon X 2, Barclays Arrival 60k Points & More

Normally we start off with credit card news & bonus offers, but with Prime day approaching the biggest & best deals were actually from Amazon. You can currently get 20% off (up to $100) by using a single Membership Rewards point on Amazon, the deal is actually working twice. Chuck explains how you can still use Amazon gift cards for these purchases as well. For some the offer wasn’t showing until they became Prime members (although it did work for a lot of non-prime) so we put together a post on maximizing a new Prime account and the cheapest options for getting Prime. There is also a spend $50, get $20/2,000 Membership Rewards points offer on some American Express cards, we explain how to get this offer to show if it’s not showing naturally as well. There is plenty of Amazon deals, view all of them below.

Onto the credit card news. Barclays is offering a 60,000 point bonus on the Arrival+ card currently, in addition they have a 45,000 point offer on the Wyndham card (enough for three nights anywhere). It’s now time to activate your 5% rotating categories for Q3, all the activation links and tips for maximizing those categories can be found here. Chase DocuSign paper apps are still bypassing 5/24 thankfully. Chase announced changes to the Ritz-Carlton & Marriott cards and finally American Express is offering some business cardholders a 50,000 point upgrade offer to the Platinum card.

July is officially bank account bonus month and we are taking it seriously. We added 25 new bank account bonuses last week, for a full list view them below. In terms of nationwide deals you have $300 from PNC, $200 from Elements Financial, up to $600 from Citi, up to $750 from HSBC & $150 from Salem Five. Salem Five Direct is also offering a 2.05% APY savings account. This might be useful for those who had their Insight accounts closed (looks like those opened via phone or in person are still working). Again, lots more state restricted bonuses below so have a look through those.

As always a lot of the good deals have already expired, make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals. If we missed any deals or you have an idea for a post, please let us know ([email protected] or [email protected]).
