Last week we saw American Express handing out appreciation credits (e.g $200 after renewal on the Business Platinum). We also saw American Express add a $200 AmexTravel credit for personal platinum cardholders and also appreciation credits for Delta cardholders. Citi is offering Advantage cardholders a $225 statement credit as well. Because of all these different types of credits it’s worth considering the American Express Charles Schwab Platinum card. Our best credit card bonus page has also been updated for May. It’s worth checking the AmEx pre-qualification tool to see if you’re targeted for 125,000 points after $5,000 in spend.
PenFed has a $200 nationwide checking bonus that doesn’t require a direct deposit that is worth doing. Nationwide bonuses from Aspiration and PNC have also been updated. WinTrust $300 checking bonus is now available in more states: IL, FL, WI, IN. Huntington Bank has brought back the $500 checking bonus for those in OH, MI, IN, PA, KY, WV & IL.
