Two local Oregonians, filed a Class-action vs. SPG on Friday. $12.5 billion in costs and losses.
This should equate to $25 for each of the 500 million user’s data that was breached.

(This is similar to the cost for the overhead of a Reward nite stay). Sadly like so many Corporation’s now a days they will pay some white shoe wall street legal firm millions to say not our fault. I think that if they offered to those willing to accept compensation of 35k points (IIRC what current annual anniversary night is worth – it would be a huge win for them). While preserving the rights of those who ultimately experience ID theft/credit damage right to seek further compensation.

But simply look at the corporate reaction to employee malfeasance, employee was reprimanded and will be retrained for dragging customer out of seat and off flight and then beating the hell out of them.

On a side note I wonder if Marriott is lamenting the merger as much as end users.
