HSBC has launched a new Premium credit card, the card itself isn’t bad (really only worth keeping for the first year) the problem is that it requires a $100,000 balance with HSBC. Discover is generously giving out 0% APR and 3% cash back on all purchases to some cardholders who ask. American Express has launched a new set of authorized user bonuses and they have also announced a change in CEOs.
A lot of credit cards have increased bonuses, for example the little known CitiBusiness ThankYou card has a bonus of 40,000 that’s available via matching. Capital One has increased the sign up bonus to 50,000 miles on the Venture card, there’s an excellent deal for California residents for the Southwest cards giving a companion pass after first purchase and a sign up bonus of 40,000-60,000 points. The 50,000 point bonus on the Cathay Pacific card is also due to expire at the end of the month.
Bank account bonuses were dominated by Wells Fargo this week with three separate offers. There is a $300 offer for specific areas and a $200 offer available nationwide. OceanFirst also has a good $300 checking bonus available to those in NJ/NY & PA & BBVA has a $200 bonus for those in AZ. Some old popular offers have also returned with $200 from Huntington Bank in OH, MI, IN, PA, KY, WV, IL & WI & Brightpeak offering $200 nationwide, but you must be Christian.
Most of the good deals have already expired from last week (make sure to either follow us on Twitter, get instant notifications or get daily e-mail updates so you don’t miss any deals), but you can get $13 for signing up to Swagbucks. Office Depot is offering an instant $15 discount on Visa five back gift cards & Staples has a $15 rebate for buying $300 in Visa or Mastercards.
