Best Posts Last Week: Chase Sapphire Reserve New $550 Fee With New Benefits, $250 Nationwide Checking Bonus With No Direct Deposit & More

The biggest news last week was that Chase has increased the annual fee on the Chase Sapphire Reserve to $550 (up from $450) and added complimentary Lyft pink membership, DoorDash DashPass, a $60 DoorDash credit and 10x on Lyft purchases. Chase has also increased the Southwest bonuses to 75,000 and these are now publicly available making matching easier. Barclays is offering 60,000 miles on the Hawaiian card with no annual fee and U.S. bank has brought back the 120,000 point bonus on the Radisson card.

It was a good week for bank account bonuses. ConnexUs is offering a $250 nationwide checking bonus with no direct deposit requirement. Chase has extended the $500 business checking bonus and Private Clients can actually get a $1,000 business checking bonus from Chase. Discover & Citi have both extended their popular bonuses as well. BB&T has the best state specific bonus offering $600 for those in AL, DC, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV, a full list of state specific bonuses can be viewed below.

Discover cardholders can get a discount of $10/$20 on Amazon when using at least one Discover point. Some Amazon users can also get a smart plug for $5. BJs is offering a discount of 10-20% on a variety of gift cards including Starbucks, Southwest & Chipotle. Some American Airlines loyalty members are being offered free gold or platinum status. There is a Chase offer for 15% back at Marriott hotels and 20% back at Kimpton hotels. Also Marriott has been rebooking some award stays at higher rates and then deducting points automatically, check your account to see if this has happened to you to get it fixed.
