Best Posts Last Week: 110,000 Business Platinum, Charles Schwab $500 Bonus & Save On Amazon Purchases

Last week we saw a number of increased sign up bonuses on credit cards. For example American Express is offering some people 110,000 points on the Business Platinum card, if you can’t get that offer or if the spend requirement is too high then there is also a 100,000 point offer. AmEx also has an increased bonus of 100,000 points on the Marriott business card. There is also an increased offer of 20,000 points on the Blue Business Plus card.

Bank of America is also offering increased sign up bonuses such as 65,000 miles on the Virgin Atlantic card with a low minimum spend, 42k miles and possibly $100 on the Alaska business card. Unfortunately Bank of America also announced they are ending the ShopSafe Program. Barclays has an increased bonus of 60,000 miles on the Aviator card with the annual fee waived.

It was a slow week for bank account bonuses, but Charles Schwab is offering up to $500. Simple Finance is offering $150, not as good as the previous $250 deal. There are a number of state specific bonuses also worth considering. If you had an insight 5% APY account, this can now be reopened and you’ll earn 5% APY again.

AmEx has a new offer for $15/1,500 points when you spend $75 on Amazon. More people have been targeted for the $30 off $60+ offer when you use a single MR point and more people were targeted for the Amazon Fresh deal where you get a free trial and $30 off your first order. Swagbucks is offering a money making deal when you sign up for Menlo (plus you get free socks and shoes). Priority Pass also added a new restaurant option to SEA.

The link in the text “if you can’t get that offer or if the spend requirement is too high then there is also a 100,000 point offer” goes to Bonvoy card instead of the 100K Biz Plat. The next link correctly references and goes to the Bonvoy card.
