Best Posts Last Week: American Express, Citi & Barclays Card Benefit Changes, 100k Point Offer & More

A number of card issuers have made significant changes to card benefits, American Express changes are going to start in January 2020, Barclays changes will start in November and Citi changes have just gone into affect. Chase is offering an increased bonus of 100,000 points on the Bonvoy Boundless card, American Express is offering a $200 bonus on the Schwab Investor card. The Avianca card is offering a bonus of up to 60,000 miles. You can now also transfer Citi Doublecash cash back to Citi ThankYou points. Bank of America Amtrak bonus of 40,000 points & $100 was supposed to end last week, but the deal is still live. Bank of America has also introduced a new 7/12 & 3/12 rule.

We saw a number of good bank account bonuses last week, unfortunately they are all state restricted. Hanmi Bank is offering a $500 bonus for those in CA, IL, NJ, NY, TX, VA. Eastern Bank is offering a bonus of $350 for those in MA, NH, ME, RI. Bank of the West has a $300 business checking bonus for those in AZ, CA, CO, ID, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, NV, NM, ND, OK, OR, SD, UT, WA, WI, WY. SoFi Crypto is offering a bonus of $25 when you invest $10. Brio Direct Bank offers a 2.46% high yield savings account which is the current rate leader.

AmEx is offering some cardholders 10-20% back on cell phone bills up to $50. There is also an AmEx offer for Delta airlines where you get $40/$60 back when you spend $300+.  UberEats is offering 20% off to some customers. Some slickdeals customers are offering $3 off on eBay. Link shell app and Chase Pay and save 30¢ per gallon. Expedia activities is offering $20 off when you spend $60+. There are two good gift card deals for office supply stores, OD/OM is offering a $15 discount when you buy $300 in Visa gift cards & Staples is offering no purchase fees on $200 Visa gift cards.
