Best Posts Last Week: New Gold Card, 40k Alaska, 100k Platinum & Nationwide Bank Bonuses

Last week saw the launch of the new Gold card, unfortunately it came with a somewhat unexpected annual fee increase. Renewals on that card will stay at $195 until 04/01/2019. If you don’t have the card and are still interested, make sure to use a referral link to get a bonus of 50,000 points + $100 instead of just 25,000 points + $100. On that note we looked at four alternatives to using credit card affiliate links that put more money in your pocket. Another round of people have been targeted for 100,000 points on the American Express Platinum card card.

We shared how everybody can get a bonus of 40,000 miles on the Bank of America Alaska card. Citi Premier 60,000 point bonus is due to expire on 10/11 according to some with affiliate links, we saw something similar with the Chase IHG 100,000 points + $50 offer but that is still going strong.  We also got the full details of the new American Express Amazon business cards. Remember that Q4 has started, so activate those 5% categories and get some tips if you haven’t already. Finally Barclays is finally admitting defeat and applications for the Arrival Premier are being pulled due to poor application numbers.

Last week we updated our best bank sign up bonus page for October. We saw several nationwide bonuses launch, Citi is offering the $200-$600 bonus again and this time the $400 bonus is actually $500 if you receive a direct deposit. Bank of America brought back the $100 bonus and Wells Fargo has a $200 in branch bonus with no direct deposit required. We also got a new best high yield savings account with EBSB offering 2.5% APY with no requirements.

This week in deals we saw Delta offer discounted award flights to China for 30,000 miles round trip. Samsung Pay is offering $20 in rewards for using PayPal linked to Samsung Pay. Kroger is offering $20 off your first order of $50+. Dosh was offering huge cash back at CVS, but that has now been crippled unfortunately.
