Was a big week of news, especially out of Capital One. First they announced that miles would be transferable to 12 airline partners at a rate of 2:1.5. Then they increased the sign up bonus on the Venture to 75,000 miles and the Spark Cash to $2,000 and finally Spark miles to 200,000 miles. In less good news it seems increasingly likely that Chase has expanded the 5/24 rule to more Chase cards, I hope to go through all of the datapoints sometime on Monday but it looks like this is real.
It’s worth checking to see if you’re targeted for any American Express Delta offers without the lifetime language. American Express is also offering 20,000 points when referring cards from the Business Gold, meaning it’s possible to get a bonus of 30,000 points on the Blue Business Plus. Chase has 60,000 point offers on the Southwest cards, but you might prefer these 50,000 offers instead. A lot of Citi cardholders were also targeted for a $30 bonus for spending $30 three times at Paypal or Amazon.
It was a slow week for bank account bonuses mostly because I didn’t have much time to add most of the new bonuses that were found. That being said the $600 chase checking & savings bonus is back. Capital One also has a money market bonus for up to $1,000. We added some new accounts to the best high yield savings account page as well.
Some excellent deals were also added last week. You can get a google home mini and two months of spotify premium for $0.99. Sprint extended the free unlimited one year plan. AmEx has an offer for $50 back when you spend $99 or more on grocery delivery service Shipt and $50 back when you spend $250 or more at Lowe’s. Chase also rolled out the highly anticipated Chase Offers, although they aren’t as good as first hoped.
