Best Posts Last Week: Three Nationwide Bank Bonuses, DoC Awards & Business Platinum Changes & More

Last week saw American Express announced some big changes to the Business Platinum, with the annual fee to be increased to $595 and a $200 dell benefit to be added. Because of that we looked at the best current offers on that card. We also looked at the fact that American Express is denying some bonuses against the pop-up indicator, American Express is also worryingly asking some people for access to bank accounts on an ongoing basis during business applications.

U.S. Bank has increased the sign up bonus on the Radisson Rewards card to 100,000 points. More people have been targeted for American Express Delta offers with no lifetime language. The Chase promotion offering an extra 1 point per $1 spent is also available to all cardholders (on specific cards), rather than being targeted.

Last week we saw three new nationwide bank bonuses. US Alliance Bank is offering a $100 bonus, Green Dot is offering a $100 bonus + 5% back on purchases (up to $250 back) and Varo Money also has a $100 bonus. Discover Savings $150/$200 bonus has also been extended. Santander has increased the $250 bonus to $300 for those in NH, MA, RI, CT, DE, NY, NJ, or PA. There were some great deals added last week with Panera offering a free bagel every day for the rest of the year. The Amazon $15 off $100+ offer when you use a Citi ThankYou point is working again and the $15 off $60 when using a Chase Ultimate Rewards point offer is also still going strong. Burger King is offering a whooper sandwich for $0.01 when you order near a McDonald’s.

Last week we also had a bit of fun by hosting the first annual DoC awards, think of it as the razzies for the points & miles community. We also got some good news from American Express with the announcement of a new Centurion lounge at Heathrow and Phoenix.
